Buying, installing and running your software.

Which licence to choose, how paying works, getting it onto your server, and what support covers. Short answers, in the order you will need them.

Before you buy

Which licence do I need?

Every product is sold on two licences. Both include the full source code and never expire.

LicenceWhat it covers
RegularOne business or one client project. One live domain, plus staging and local copies of the same project.
ExtendedUnlimited live installations for your own businesses, including running it as a paid service (SaaS) for your own customers.
  • One live site: Regular. Several sites, or charging other people to use it: Extended.
  • Both include free updates within the version line you buy.
  • Neither allows reselling or redistributing the source code.

How paying works

One payment, by card, with no subscription. Your licences and downloads live in your account, so buying starts with signing in.

  • Payment is taken by Stripe. Nothing is charged until you confirm on the last step.
  • With a billing address in India you are charged in rupees, at the rate shown before you pay: Indian cards cannot be charged in dollars. Everywhere else is charged in US dollars.
  • Your invoice is in your account under Orders, with your billing details on it.

Your $25 welcome credit

Every new account comes with $25 of store credit, ready to use on your first purchase.

  • It comes off at checkout by itself, shown as Store credit. There is no code to enter.
  • It covers any product licence and the Priority Pass. It does not expire.
  • Every order charges at least $1, because a card payment cannot be zero; the rest of the credit stays for next time.
  • Credit is only used when an order is paid. A checkout you leave halfway costs nothing.
  • Your balance is shown at the top of your account.

After you buy

Your licence key and downloads

The moment a payment clears, the licence key and the download are ready.

  • The licence key is shown on the confirmation page. Copy it there; your account also shows it on the Downloads tab.
  • Download the release your licence covers from Account, Downloads, whenever you need it.
  • The one-line install command, with your own install key, is on the same tab.

Installing on your server

Every product installs with one command and your licence key, on a fresh Ubuntu or Debian server you have root access to.

  • Copy the command from Account, Downloads: it already holds your product and licence key.
  • It checks your key, downloads the release your licence covers, unpacks it into /opt/<product> and runs the product's own setup.
  • Paste it into your cloud provider's first-boot script (User data on DigitalOcean) and a new server installs itself.
  • To update, run the same command again: the code is replaced and your data stays.
  • Installation help is included with every licence.

Moving to another server or domain

A licence counts live installations, so moving one means freeing the old one first.

  • Staging and local copies of the same project never count against a Regular licence.
  • To move your live site to a new domain, ask support to release the old installation; the new one then activates with the same key.
  • With the Priority Pass, the team moves an existing install to a new server for you once a year. Without it, a server migration is quoted as paid work.
  • The Priority Pass also adds 1 extra installation to each licence you own while it is active.

Updates

Your licence includes free updates within the version line you bought.

  • Each product page lists what every release changed, in its changelog.
  • The licence is perpetual: whatever you have installed keeps running, whether or not you renew support.

Support and changes

Standard support and the Priority Pass

Standard support comes with every licence and costs nothing. Priority is for teams running these platforms in production.

Standard (included)Priority Pass ($149 a year)

Installation help and bug fixes for your versionQuestions beyond bugs, from a named contact

  • A pass is paid once and lasts a year. It does not renew by itself: renew when it ends, and a pass bought early starts the day the current one ends, so no days are lost.
  • Your account shows when your pass runs out, and you are emailed two weeks before.

Getting the software changed

Need a feature, an integration or a full custom build? The engineers who built the product can change it.

  • Work is quoted on scope, before anything starts.
  • You own the source code, so your changes stay yours.
